Dreams Do Come True
Chapter 1
I was just your average 15 year old boy, or was I? I was one of the rare few that were unknown to them "Being watched".
I was a loner in school and I didn't have many friends and I didn't really want any. All I ever wanted was to be a dragon. But of course I kept that to myself because if I ever told anyone that, I would be put somewhere.
My town wasn't the meanest nor was it the nicest place. But tome it was home. It was a bright sunny Saturday afternoon in August, and tomorrow August 19th 2010 was my birthday. It was the only time of year I really liked because it was the one time of year that I was able to spend time with my mom and dad without them going away to work.
My other relatives didn't like us one bit and I had no idea why. But either way I didn't really care.

I woke up the next morning with a great big smile on my face. I got out of bed and walked over to my closet to get some clothes, when I something on my computer desk caught my eye.
I walked over to my computer desk and saw it was a small box with a note that read; "Dreams do come true!" and below that instead of you formal signature was a silver ink stamp in the shape of a dragon.
"I wonder where this came from?" I said to myself examining the box some more I wasn't really able to find anything more than that little note. So I opened it and inside was a small 8oz vial of a glowing silver liquid, attached to the vial was a note that read; drink this and all your dreams will become reality.
"Ok this is crazy! Knowing my mom and dad they have nothing to do with this. So let's see here…" I thought it over for a second and finally I said "Bottom's up!" I popped the cork and drank the liquid down to the last drop; it tasted just like Ice Breakers mint gum.
A few seconds later a strange silver mist filled the room and I was consumed in it. Everything went dark, and I blacked out feeling an ice cold shiver go down my spine.
7 Hours Later
I woke up staring fate to light bulb with a surgical lamp. I tried to move but for some reason I was strapped down onto a table by what felt like metal cufflinks.
"W-where am I?" I asked looking around for someone to release me that was when I saw why I was chained up; I now had silver scales covering my arms and legs along with silver plate like scales going from the tip of my neck down to the tip of under my tail.
After about 15 minutes of constant struggling a doctor came in and asked me "So Jesse are you ready to see your mom and dad again?"
That had to have been the dumbest damn question anyone had ever asked me!
"Of course I want to be back with my mom and dad you asshole! Now let me go or else!" I yelled really losing my patience.
"Very well Mr. Bassett just give me one second to release your restraints." He said walking over to the wall next to me and hitting a button on the wall which released me.
I jumped to my feet and charged at him so quickly that he had no time to counteract me pinning him against the wall with my right claws holding him by the throat and saying. "Give me one damn good reason why I shouldn't kill you right here and now!?"
"Because Jesse a wise old man once said 'With great power there must also come great responsibility' " a familiar voice said from the doorway of the room. I looked over and saw all my friends, and my mom and dad standing there with stern smiles on their faces.
I looked back at the doctor who was frozen with fear and dropped him on the ground.
He went for the alarm but before he could even reach it halfway I ripped it off the wall and said "Do you really have a death wish? Because if you do I'm sure that we all would be glad to fulfill it for you." I said turning back to the other whose stern smiles were now smiles of pride and joy.
I walked over to them and got taken into a hug by my mom and dad. I pulled away after a minute and turned to my friends; Aaron, Tim, Brandon, Taylor, Travis, and Stephanie.
They all had nervous but happy looks on their faces and I too had a smile on my muzzle. I walked over to Aaron first and Extended my claw (F.Y.I. Claw means Hand for dragons) and we did our usual little hand shake; it was just a med. five and a fist bump I did that for all my other friends except for Stephanie who I gave a hug as usual.
I looked at them all and said "Either I was out for longer than I thought or we are all forgetting something." I said with a smirk on my muzzle.
They all thought for a second and then Tim stepped up to me and said "Slug bug green!" and hit me on the arm full strength which felt like a little kid punching me on the arm. "Damn Jesse those scales are strong man!" he said rubbing his knuckles
I smiled and asked "Ok is there anything else you guys are forgetting?" pointing to a calendar on the wall.
My mom and dad both stepped up and said "Happy birthday Jesse!"
I grinned happily and headed out the door but stopped and said "Race you guys home!"
They all smiled and got in the truck my mom and dad in front with the others in the back. There was a turtle shell on the back so they could all ride back there safely.
They were almost out of the parking lot by the time I got outside. I spread my wings which I guessed were about 9-10 feet wingspan. I flapped my wings and took to the skies towards home. I looked back and saw that I was being held at the U of U it was a nice place I had to admit but the service was lousy.
By the time I got home my mom, dad and friends were all getting out of the truck and heading towards the door. I glided down and landed right besides them and furled my wings.
Tim looked over at me and said "We'll call it a draw."
I just laughed a little and walked in seeing the entire living room decorated in silver dragon decorations.
"Wow mom you guys did all this for me? This is amazing!" I said looking around at all of the decorations and such.
"Yep and your friends helped out a lot as well without them we wouldn't have had this done I half the time." My dad said looking back and my friends and nodding at Tim which was the cue to turn off the lights and to have my mom bring in the cake.
They all started singing happy birthday and most kids would get embarrassed but I didn't mind it was just a day to have fun and enjoy it all. After they all finished singing I blew out the candles and made a wish.
They all applauded and asked me "What did you wish for?"
"Can't tell you its bad luck if I tell you what I wished for." I said to them not telling them what I wished for was to be accepted by more than just my friends and family as a dragon.
After opening the presents and eating cake it ended up being almost 10 O' Clock I let out a big yawn and waved goodbye to my friends as they all left and went to bed to get ready for tomorrow and the starting of school in just a few weeks.
